The app is one way young people can find support. But sometimes you need more than a phone. You need somewhere to go. Someone to talk to. People who understand. A place where you can just be yourself.
That's what The Lost Club Foundation is building. A connected support system for young people across Aotearoa, bringing together safe spaces, digital programmes and real-world connection.
Welcoming places where young people can go, meet their people, try something new, access support and simply belong. Real spaces, in real communities, across Aotearoa.
Meeting young people where they are, whether they're at home, at school or awake at 2am trying to make sense of what's going on. Covering identity, emotions, relationships, confidence, body image and mental wellbeing, with practical information, honest conversations and tools they can actually use.
The human stuff. The friendships, conversations, activities and connections that happen when young people come together in real life.
Everything we build is co-created with young people, for young people. We listen to what they say they need, rather than assuming we know what's best for them.
Because an app can start a conversation. A digital programme can help someone understand what they're feeling. But sometimes what makes the biggest difference is having somewhere to go and someone beside you.
The TLC app meets young people where they are online. The TLC Foundation creates somewhere to go in real life.
Together, we're building a place where young people can find support, find their people and, when they feel lost, know they don't have to figure it out alone.
